Welcome to Tanging Yaman Foundation

We are a conduit foundation, and we aim to help Filipinos help other Filipinos in need, Pinoy para sa Pinoy. We channel resources to worthy and effective programs that nurture and educate the youth, safeguard the environment, enrich culture, and nurture hope.

Featured Project:

For this month, we are featuring the Cainta Elementary School Special Education Department - Resource Room for the Visually Impaired (Resource Room for brevity).

The Resource Room is one of the few schools for the visually impaired in our country. Tanging Yaman Foundation (TYF) got involved with the Resource Room in June 2007. TYF shoulders the lunch of the students here. They are now in need of computers to aid them get normal school training. If you want to help, please contact us.

Relaunch of the Tanging Yaman Foundation Bukas Palad's 20th Anniversary Album Achieving one of TYF's dreams
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the 11 August 2007 relaunch of the Tanging Yaman Foundation (TYF).

From your generosity, we have gathered over PhP1.4million in actual donations and pledges. We are also humbled by the great number of those who promised to give several hours of their week to help TYF, and those who will form their own network of Christotokoi.
Last 25 August 2007, TYF set up a booth in Bukas Palad's 20th Anniversary Album Launch at the Gesu.
We were able to collect over PhP 40 thousand pesos that night, in actual donations and pledges.

Again our heartfelt thanks.
Because of the great response we got from our beloved Christotokoi, we are now getting close to achieving one of TYF's dreams, i.e. sending a college scholar in every region in our country.

We are right now looking for students who are academically worthy, and yet financially challenged in the following regions of the Philippines: I, II, IV-B, VI, VII, VIII, XIII. kindly please contact us to refer someone whom you know is in need.

(Start of Simbang Gabi)

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for helping our kababayans in need through the Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc. (TYF) the past three Christmases.

Through your generosity, we collectively raised

               P755,508.80 for typhoon victims in Bikol and Infanta in December 2004;

               P559,596.20 for Guinsaugon, Leyte mudslide victims in December 2005;

               P2,497,114.46 for Typhoons Milenyo and Reming victims in Bikol in December 2006.

The funds collected for Bikol last year have helped countless families rebuild their lives. With the assistance of various parishes, NGOs, religious congregations and schools, the TYF has accomplished, among others, the following:

                   Rehabilitate 349 houses in Albay and Buhi;

                   Sponsor the tuition of 350 public high school students in Camarines;

                   Complete the construction of a parochial school in Sorsogon;

                   Provide fruit-bearing trees for families in three barangays in Albay;

                   Provide seed-capital for a communal tilapia pond in Bantonan, Camalig;

                   Fund the 5-month feeding program for 575 undernourished children in Tiwi and Pioduran.

This Christmas, our country having been spared from a natural calamity, the TYF hopes to raise $10,000.00 for our children in need. Whatever you send us, we will channel to the following:

               Abused children through the Good Shepherd Sisters (RGS);

               Abandoned children through Cribs;

               Street children through Musmos;
